Am befremdlichsten finde ich diesen Abschnitt:
“Why, when there are other sources for world-class dry riesling,” he asked, “should Germany focus on being a member of an ensemble when with her table wines with residual sugar, she is not only a soloist but an all-time great one?”
Da möchte man glatt zurückfragen:
Why, when Germany is the best source for dry riesling, would you want to drink anything else?
Es muss doch jemanden bei der Times geben, der Deutsch kann.
Vielleicht auch nicht: "grosses gewäches"
